Somak has a large selection of safari adventures more than any other USA based African Tour Operator. For example, you have 21 itineraries with several weekly departure dates to choose from. You can select from a range of land only or a complete package with land and air included. Each itinerary is carefully designed to include a number of parks, unique landscapes, excursions and the opportunity to see the greatest diversity of game possible. Special discounts are available for children, families and groups. If you have a family or private group of 4 - 6 persons or more you can request a departure day outside our scheduled departures.

In recognizing that many travelers have their own preference in accommodation, Somak has created the Tembo rating system to help you choose your safari to suit your travel style. In some itineraries where we have a 2 or 3 tiers levels, we have referred to the safari as first class, First Class plus and Deluxe.

Value For Money - Compare and Save

With over 39 years in Africa, Somak Safaris negotiates the BEST rates with our travel partners -airlines and hotels – and we pass these savings to our clients. Before booking your safari compare our prices with our competition. Many of them use the same hotels, lodges and camps, yet their tour prices are substantially higher than Somak's. On our East Africa programs that feature internal flights, the cost of flights is included in the cost of the land package, whereas other tour operators show the cost as an addition. This way they add several hundreds of dollars to their final cost. Why pay more for identical tour package?

Guaranteed Departures

Each program featured in the brochure is guaranteed to operate. Once your booking is confirmed, your departure is guaranteed to depart on the set date with a minimum of 2 passengers. Unlike other operators, Somak will not cancel a departure or charge extra because the required number of passengers to operate the tour is not met.
