Itinerary
Day 1:
Thursday
Depart USA Let the
adventure begin when you board your overnight flight to Amsterdam with
meals and a movie on board.
Day 2:
Friday
Amsterdam/Kilimanjaro Arrive in Amsterdam in the morning and
connect to your Kilimanjaro flight. “Jambo!” Welcome to Tanzania. On
arrival, meet a Somak Safaris Tour Director who will escort you to your

Day 3/4:
Sat/Sun
Tarangire A safari
briefing at breakfast prepares you for an exciting adventure. Depart for
Tarangire National Park, named after the river that flows through the
length of the park and provides a constant water source for the thousands
of animals making their home here. Enjoy lunch at your lodge and a late
afternoon game drive. The next day, take the morning and afternoon to
explore the beauty of the park and its wildlife. (BLD) Tarangire Sopa

Day 5:
Monday
Ngorongoro Crater You
will have an early morning start to the Ngorongoro Conservation area, host
to the “birthplace of man.” It is also home to a unique intact caldera,
the Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive in time for lunch followed by a half day
game drive at the floor of the crater. Return to the lodge for dinner and

Day 6:
Tuesday
Ngorongoro Crater Enjoy breathtaking views of the crater as
the sun rises. After breakfast, descend 2000 feet below the rim of the
crater for game viewing. The crater is home to abundant game, including
the “Big Five," as well as the black rhino, jackal and Cape buffalo.
Return to the lodge for lunch followed by a visit to Masai village. (BLD)
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Day 7:
Wednesday
Serengeti This morning drive to Olduvai Gorge for a visit to
the site of the remains of prehistoric man. Continue your journey to the
world’s best-known park, the Serengeti. Named after the Masai word,
“Siringet” for endless plains of short and long grass, the Serengeti is
well known for its large prides of lion, cheetah, packs of wild dog and
wildebeest. Take lunch at the lodge and later in the afternoon, enjoy a

Day 8/9:
Thur/Fri
Serengeti Enjoy two full
days with morning and late afternoon game drives. The next day you have
the opportunity to enjoy an early morning balloon safari (extra cost:
$400.00 per person) over the Serengeti Plains, which includes a bubbly
champagne breakfast upon landing. Or you may take an early morning game
drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Return to the lodge where you
have the remainder of the morning at leisure before lunch and a late

Day 10:
Saturday
Kilimanjaro/Amsterdam After an early morning breakfast you will
take a flight to Arusha where you will be met on arrival and transferred
to the lodge. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. After an early
dinner you will take an overnight flight to Amsterdam (BLD)

Day 11:
Sunday
Amsterdam/USA You will
arrive in Amsterdam and connect to your flight to the United
States.

all-suite lodge of 75 suites,
with scenic views and good game
viewing possibilities. The lodge
is located on the eastern side
of the Tarangire River opposite
Tarangire Hill. The Tarangire
National Park is 75 miles from
Arusha, and is one of Tanzania's
most easily accessible
conservation areas. The park is
900 square miles area of
remarkable beauty and rewarding
game drives, and is on the
traditional migration route of
several species of wildlife. The
lodge is 20 miles from the park
entrance gate, about an hour's
drive through an area rich in
wildlife.

Ngorongoro Crater, a world

elephant, cheetah, leopard, lion
and herds of gazelle and
