Kenya Classic Safari - 14 Days

NAIROBI - MOUNT KENYA - SAMBURU - SWEETWATERS -  LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA

In your small group of no more than 12, enjoy the “Best of Kenya” in 4 distinct landscapes. Each day offers a new experience within a bounty of national parks—with stays in a unique tree lodge on the slopes of Mount Kenya, a luxury-tented camp, and Serena lodges. Marvel at the lush forests of Mount Kenya, the panoramic semi-desert frontier of Samburu, the serene beauty of the Rift Valley and Lake Nakuru — home to thousands of pink flamingos — and the rolling plains and acacia woodlands of the Masai Mara, one of the world’s greatest wildlife theatres. Along the way, visit with local Masai children, photograph lions, rhino, elephant and leopard from the safety of your pop-up safari cruiser and, after the sun sets, tune into a cacophony of sounds that are uniquely Africa.

Accommodation

Nairobi Serena Hotel

About 330 miles from the Indian Ocean and 95 miles south of the Equator, the city of Nairobi enjoys an almost perfect tropical climate. Day time temperatures are in comfortable 70s and humidity is low. Nights are cool and refreshing. This mile high city has a range of international standard hotels for all budgets.

Samburu Serena Lodge

The Samburu Serena Safari Lodge is located in the centre of the Samburu Game Reserve, a semi-arid, open
savannah plain broken by small rugged hills in Kenya’s Northern Province. Situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River with its crocodiles and leopards, the lodge is rustic yet sophisticated and captures the robust rhythms of riverside life.
Each cottage has a private verandah overlooking the river so that the crocodiles can be seen feeding.

Sweetwater Tented Camp

Sweetwaters Tented Camp lies in the heart of privately owned 24,000 acres of Sweetwaters Game Reserve, enjoying magnificent views across the game - studded plains to the snowcapped peaks of Mount Kenya. Sweetwaters Tented Camp is a two and a half hour drive from Nairobi. Overlooking a floodlit waterhole, the camp offers visitors an opportunity to watch and photograph animals in their natural habitat.

Lake Nakuru Lodge

Nakuru Lodge is located in the tropical gardens with an elevated view over the Lake Nakuru. Facilities include68 standard rooms, Restaurant, Bar and Swimming Pool.

In the Great Rift Valley on Lake Nakuru there is the amazing spectacle of the Flamingo. In a purpose-built Safari Cruiser we head north-west, descending to the floor of the Great Rift passing Mt Longonot.

Mara Serena Lodge

Perched on the saddle of a hill, the Mara Serena Safari Lodge has one of the most spectacular views imaginable across the vast plains, forests and rivers that make up the Masai Mara – one of the world’s richest wildlife sanctuaries. This is a spectacle that should be witnessed at least once in a lifetime. The hotel has been designed to mirror a traditional Masai village or Manyatta and all the guest rooms are located in individual domed huts grouped in a circular manner. The furnishings of each room have been inspired by traditional Masai art and each one has a private balcony with views that stretch over the vast African landscape.
